The Occupational Business Tax Unit provides governmental services for businesses which have regulatory requirements in the city. The types of businesses which have regulatory requirements are Pawn Shops, Precious Metals, Amusement, Entertainment, and Adult Entertainment. All other businesses that are not licensed with the State of Georgia have a Business Regulatory. The primary purpose and function of the Business Administration Regulatory Services is to enforce, maintain and administer the provisions of the City of Riverdale Regulatory Ordinances. This is accomplished through the following activities: analysis and drafting of requested amendments with the assistance of the department Director to the Regulatory Ordinances, providing interpretations of the Regulatory Ordinances, and processing Regulatory applications. Our division completes these procedures to the highest standards for our community. In addition, our department provides development support to the public and other city departments.
Business Financial Review
The Business Financial Review Unit provides governmental services for business administration assisting businesses to stay into compliance when providing occupational tax gross revenues. Our division administers these procedures to the highest standards for our community. The primary purpose and function of the Business Financial Review is to enforce, maintain and administer the provisions of the City of Riverdale Taxation for Occupational Tax and to ensure that businesses are reporting accurate gross revenue to the city. This is accomplished through providing interpretations of the Occupational Tax reporting process to businesses. We are charged with evaluating and processing all business tax returns and other financial documents when necessary on an annual basis.
